Just when the most accurate sources of Apple have claimed that the company would unveil the next generation iPad in the first week of March. The latest report from iMore suggests that the date for the much awaited Apple event is March 7, as per their sources. Fortunately, this date falls into the same time span which AllThingsD sources told.
On the other hand, WSJ sources have already confirmed about the event. iPad 3 is expected to have a retina display, a quad core processor and an LTE capability. This report contradicts with the Verge, according to which Apple wouldn’t implement an A6 chip into their upcoming tablet. Several other evidences also hints towards the fact that the possibility of a quad core processor in iPad 3 is certainly more.
Now, all we can do is to wait for the invite from Apple. If these rumors are to be believed, the invite should be sent to media possibly at the end of February. A quad core processor would make the iPad 3 blazing fast and a retina display like iPhone 4S would make it a worth buy. Also, Apple could come up with Mac OS X like applications such as Aperture which would use the actual capability of iPad 3.
